Charlie FINALLY got to be classroom helper and point at the calendar and chose kids with the pointer in his class. He has been talking about wanting to do this for months. Weirdly, he didn’t even tell us it happened—we found out via this photo in his daily report. Insert eye roll here.
Charlie has gotten excited about “reading” to Jane recently. He just picks a book he has memorized and shows her the pages while he *reads*. Now’s a good time to cry at just how sweet it is.

Mere moments after this, the sweetest, happiest photo, was taken, Jane scratched her own cornea with her devil claws. I file these nails every damn day with a glass nail file and what does it get me? Nothing. SECONDS later, she was screaming in a way I have never heard her scream, and then she refused to open her eyes at all for something like 6 hours. Miraculously, eyeballs heal very quickly and she was fine the next day.
In other Jane news, isn’t this the cutest dress you’ve ever seen? I know if I had had this when I was 6, I would have refused to ever take it off.

Our anniversary was the 12th (7 years wooooo!). Unfortunately I’m nosey as hell and cannot just let purchased gifts lie, so I always peer pressure David to give me a hint about what my gift is for any and all gift-giving holidays or occasions. This year as he was describing it to me, I realized in hilarity and horror that we had purchased each other the exact same gift: pottery classes at two different studios, 1 month apart. Everyone’s getting bowls for Christmas!

HELLO a new superhero has entered the chat! SuperBar is still present, but Catman burst onto the scene this week with a flourish. Here’s what we know about him so far:

My favorite recipe developer turned insta influencer turned friend-in-my-head, Caroline Chambers, released her cookbook this week! It’s called What To Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking and it’s amazing. The dedication should tell you everything you need to know about her.
