I mean…what is even left to say about the one and only Charles Large when he presents himself like this^?! He said goodbye to his paci for the final time on Saturday and I am both thrilled (to have one less thing to keep up with and pack) and horrified (that I have a kid big enough to get rid of the paci?)! Parenting. It’s wild.

Also Charlie’s favorite older cousin Eliot came to play last week while he was staying with Mimi and Grandpa and there is no one Charlie is more obsessed with. It is not an exaggeration to say that he would sacrifice an arm for Eliot. Here’s Eliot reading to Char.

Jane-uary Forever

I had my quarterly review with Jane today (pictured above) and she said that my mom-instincts are off the charts on accuracy right now but that her car experiences have been…not good—unfortunately the only way to improve that is to avoid the car. She ended the review with “Don’t worry, sweetie, you’re doing amazing! Very proud of you babygirl!” Which was kind of strange because SHE is the baby…I am a grownup.

She’s also pretty close to rolling over but can’t figure out that bottom arm yet.

Date You Haven’t Thought Of Yet

This week David and I paid $14 to livestream the Noah Kahan concert from Fenway and tbh it was awesome. I got to sit on my couch in my pajamas next to David, under a blanket, while singing songs I love and listening to Noah sings them AND quilting. Why doesn’t everyone livestream their concerts?! Put on concert videos and have a stay at home date!

Book Rec Corner

I’m a hundred years late to the game on this book but I’m trying to catch up on the list of 100 Best Books of the Century by the NYT.

EXCUSE ME WHAT?! I literally just found one on the list that was immediately available on my Libby app and holllllyyyy did I luck out. This book is beautiful and heartbreaking and honest in all the best ways. It’s sad. It should be required reading for everyone, but they should def read it in every high school in America. Perhaps it would build a little empathy.

Davey’s Corner

Just so you all know, David initially tried to make Davey’s corner a TRIVIA CORNER this week!!!???? Why?!!?? I said absolutely not and he gave me the following instead:

Charlie told his swim instructor that he liked her boobies and asked if she had a baby in her belly (she does not).

Charlie asked Annie what was on her chin. She said “a zit”. He said “I don’t want to see it.”

Charlie jumped on my belly and called me a “squishy human.”
